1. What to Do in Marbella
Marbella is not just about luxury — there’s a lot more to explore if you know where to go.
- Walk through Marbella Old Town and get lost in its charming white streets
Old Town (Casco Antiguo): full of charm, colorful flowers, and hidden squares. It’s the most authentic part of Marbella and perfect for getting lost in its narrow white streets, boutique shops, and local tapas bars.
If you’re a specialty coffee fan, you’ll love Boötes. It’s a small coffee window serving excellent coffee with great attention to detail.
- Spend the day at the beach or a traditional chiringuito
For some of the best sandy beaches in the area, head to Los Monteros Beach or Cabopino Beach. Both are known for their beautiful coastline, soft sand, and relaxed atmosphere.
If you’re looking to spend a relaxing afternoon by the sea and enjoy a great meal, La Red is one of the best options, known for its excellent food and beachfront setting. For a more traditional Andalusian experience, try Chiringuito Los Sardinales, Nuestro Chiringuito, or Triana Marbella, where you can enjoy fresh seafood, local espetos and beautiful views of the Mediterranean.
Whether you prefer a laid-back chiringuito or a stylish beach club, Marbella’s coastline offers plenty of great spots to relax, eat well and enjoy the Mediterranean lifestyle.

- Explore the marinas and coastal promenade
Marbella is home to four distinct marinas, each with its own character. Cabopino Marina is the smallest, surrounded by sandy dunes and a relaxed atmosphere. La Bajadilla is the city’s traditional fishing port, where you can still see local fishermen bringing in their daily catch. Puerto Deportivo de Marbella, where we are located, sits in the heart of the old town and is the perfect starting point for exploring the waterfront. Finally, Puerto Banús is Marbella’s most famous marina, renowned for its beautiful Andalusian-inspired architecture, luxury yachts, designer boutiques and impressive collection of supercars.
One of the best ways to discover Marbella is by strolling along its scenic coastal promenade. Stretching for miles along the Mediterranean, it connects many of the city’s beaches, marinas and beachfront areas. Along the way, you’ll pass some of Marbella’s most iconic hotels, including the legendary Marbella Club and Puente Romano, while enjoying sea views, beach bars and the relaxed atmosphere that makes Marbella so special.

- Go hiking up La Concha, one of the most beautiful outdoor activities in Marbella, with incredible panoramic views over the coast
La Concha is Marbella’s iconic mountain, whose name means “shell” in English due to its distinctive shape. Standing proudly behind the city, it offers spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea, the coastline, Gibraltar and even the mountains of North Africa on clear days.
The hike to the summit is a favourite among nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. The trail takes you through beautiful natural surroundings and rewards your effort with some of the most breathtaking scenery in the region. Whether you are an experienced hiker or simply looking for an unforgettable adventure, climbing La Concha is a fantastic way to experience Marbella’s natural beauty from a completely different perspective.
For those looking for a shorter alternative, there is also Cruz de Juanar, a nearby peak that offers very similar panoramic views. The hike is less demanding and shorter than La Concha, making it an excellent option for visitors who want to enjoy the stunning scenery without undertaking a longer climb.
